For Sale by Owner
Taos Home and Land is actively participating in the For Sale by Owner (FSBO) market. We facilitated a transaction in September 2009 and are doing the same thing in November. It appears sellers are motivated to sell their properties and are concerned about the commissions paid to both the buyer's and seller's agents. So now our office is offering the service to bring buyers and sellers together and facilitate the transaction for both sides and accept less commission. This idea works for this office and creates a wonderful experience for all parties to the transaction. The idea of getting buyers and sellers together in one room and working out the details of the deal is fantastic. This takes a lot less time, creates a feeling of oneness between the two parities and a feeling of friendship for all. I absolutely love doing business this way and wish more people would get on the "wagon" and go along for the amazing ride.
So keep this in mind when you participate in your next real estate deal. Talk with the seller or buyer, get to know them and have equal participation in the transaction. It is fun and makes the deal go much smoother.
